Veterinary Dental Extractions and Radiology Course

This is a two-day practical course.

On the first day (frontal lectures) we will learn how to perform dental radiography and dental extractions in dogs and cats.

The second day is practical ย – we will practice dental radiography on cadavers and performย dental extractions – from simpleย extractions to complex surgical extractions.

Lecturer :Dr Dea Bonello ย Med Vet, PhD, Spec Rad Vet, Dipl EVDC and a Resident that will help in the practical part.

The first day is shared by the entire group, after which the practical workshop will be held in the following days, in groups of eight participants, according to registration order โ€“ the first registrations on the adjacent day and so on.

Each participant will have a personal dental unit in order to enable maximum utilization of the practical experience.

The number of places is very limited.

13:30-14:30 Simple extractions in dogs and cats (different methods and techniques)

14:45-16:00 Surgical extractions in dogs and cats

16:15-17:00 Specific highlights and tips, how to avoid complications.

Day 2 Wet Lab

09:00-12:00 Obtaining dental radiographs in dogs and cats (participants will experience obtaining dental radiographs on corpses)

Simple extractions in dogs and cats – Incisive teeth

Difficult extractions in dogs and cats P4-M2
